Nitrogen-service cleaning prepares equipment for duty—it is not nitrogen blasting.
Haygor’s published nitrogen-service process describes disassembly, mechanical pre-cleaning, selected solvent cleaning, drying, white-light inspection, ultraviolet inspection, labeling, sealed packaging, reassembly, testing, and calibration. The nitrogen is the intended process service and may also be used as an approved dry gas; the service should not be confused with liquid-nitrogen or dry-ice blasting.
The required cleanliness depends on the specific nitrogen application, purity, pressure, temperature, downstream equipment, contamination sensitivity, and customer procedure. A scope suitable for inert-gas utility service may be different from one used for high-purity analytical, pharmaceutical, food, semiconductor, or other controlled systems.
