Service Overview

Traceability belongs to the measurement result—not the instrument label.

A measurement result is metrologically traceable when it can be related to a stated reference through a documented, unbroken chain of calibrations, with each link contributing to the measurement uncertainty. The service scope must identify the measurand, range, units, test points, procedure, reference standards, and reported results.

Haygor can calibrate compatible pressure gauges, transmitters, transducers, and diaphragm-seal assemblies using reference standards represented as traceable to NIST or the SI. Requested deliverables may include as-found and as-left data, adjustment, repeatability or hysteresis checks, reference-standard identification, uncertainty information, and calibration documentation.

A traceability claim is supported by records, procedures, calibrated standards, uncertainty evaluation, and technically valid results—not by a NIST number alone.

Measurement Requirement

Define the quantity measured, range, units, tolerance, test points, direction, and intended acceptance decision.

Reference Standards

Use suitable calibrated working standards with documented status and a valid connection to higher-level references.

As-Found Data

Record the instrument’s condition before adjustment when the customer requires evidence of performance as received.

Authorized Adjustment

Make approved corrections only after the as-found requirement and adjustment authority are established.

As-Left Data

Repeat the defined points after adjustment or service and report the final result under the agreed method.

Calibration Documentation

Provide the certificate, result table, reference identification, environmental or method details, and other required fields.

Service Process

Connect the reported result to the reference through every calibration link.

The calibration chain remains meaningful only when each stage is documented and the uncertainty is appropriate for the customer’s tolerance and decision.

Contract review

Confirm the instrument, range, tolerance, points, data, uncertainty, and certificate expectations.

Reference selection

Choose calibrated standards with suitable range, resolution, uncertainty, and current status.

Condition & setup

Inspect the unit, establish mounting and connections, stabilize the setup, and record as-found condition.

Apply test points

Generate the defined increasing, decreasing, or repeated inputs and record the indication or output.

Adjust & recheck

Adjust only when authorized, then repeat the required points to establish the as-left result.

Issue records

Release the instrument with identification, results, reference-standard evidence, findings, and certificate.

Scope the Work

Specify the result the calibration must support.

The quotation and certificate should reflect the measurement decision rather than a generic “NIST certificate” request.

NIST does not certify third-party traceability claims.

Haygor is responsible for supporting the traceability statement associated with its results. Traceability also does not guarantee fitness for purpose; the uncertainty and measurement capability must be suitable for the intended tolerance and risk.
