Cleaning & Contamination Control

Chlorine Cleaning Service

Prepare compatible manifolds, valves, flowmeters, fittings, transmitters, gauges, tubing, and assemblies for chlorine-service applications.

Service Overview

Chlorine-service equipment requires controlled cleanliness and moisture management.

Chlorine service can be highly sensitive to contamination, moisture, incompatible materials, lubricants, and retained cleaning media. A valid cleaning scope must identify the chlorine form and concentration, operating conditions, component materials, internal flow paths, customer procedure, and final handling requirements.

Haygor’s published workflow describes disassembly, isolation of incompatible parts, mechanical pre-cleaning, solvent cleaning, drying, white-light and ultraviolet inspection, internal flushing, comparison of recovered fluid, labeling, sealed packaging, and reassembly with testing and calibration when specified.

Capabilities

Build the cleaning scope around compatibility and the complete flow path.

The selected chemistry, lubricant, inspection, and drying route must be approved for the actual chlorine-service requirement.

Service Identification

Define dry or wet service, chlorine form, pressure, temperature, flow, equipment function, and customer requirement.

Material Compatibility

Review metals, polymers, seals, coatings, lubricant, and any components that must be isolated or replaced.

Progressive Cleaning

Combine approved mechanical preparation with the specified cleaning chemistry and drying sequence.

Visual & UV Inspection

Check visible moisture, oil, grease, lint, film, smears, and qualifying fluorescent residue.

Flow-Path Verification

Flush assembled joints or internal passages and compare recovered fluid when required by the procedure.

Release & Records

Label, seal, package, test, calibrate, and document the final condition under the agreed scope.

Service Process

Control the component from receipt through post-wash verification.

The final process is established after reviewing the equipment and governing chlorine-service specification.

Identify & contain

Record previous media, contamination, service conditions, hazards, and receiving restrictions.

Disassemble & isolate

Expose surfaces and separate incompatible materials, seals, electronics, or lubricated parts.

Prepare surfaces

Remove gross soil through approved grinding, brushing, blasting, or swabbing.

Clean & dry

Apply the selected chemistry and controlled drying method, including dry nitrogen where approved.

Inspect & flush

Complete white-light and UV-A inspection plus internal flushing or recovered-fluid checks as specified.

Reassemble & protect

Test, calibrate, label, bag, seal, document, and preserve the cleaned condition.

Scope the Work

Information needed to define chlorine-service cleaning.

Chlorine duty is not one universal condition; compatibility and moisture requirements vary with the application.

Confirm every material and lubricant for the actual chlorine condition.

A lubricant or cleaning agent suitable for one chlorine application may not be appropriate for another. Final compatibility, chemistry, dryness, acceptance, and handling requirements must be approved before work begins.

  • Equipment identification, complete materials, seal compounds, coatings, lubricant, and photographs
  • Previous media, contamination, moisture exposure, cleaning history, and hazardous-material disclosure
  • Chlorine form, concentration, pressure, temperature, flow direction, and process environment
  • Customer cleaning procedure, acceptance criteria, inspection method, and required witness points
  • Reassembly, lubricant specification, testing, calibration, leak checks, and internal flushing
  • Drying, labeling, clean packaging, sealed storage, transport, installation, and documentation needs
