Service Overview

In critical service, cleanliness is an engineered condition.

Oil, grease, moisture, lint, particulate, process residue, fabrication soil, and incompatible cleaning chemistry can affect measurement performance, damage equipment, or introduce serious hazards. The correct cleaning scope depends on the service media, materials, geometry, prior exposure, required cleanliness level, verification method, and final packaging.

Haygor’s cleaning and contamination-control services can include disassembly, compatibility review, mechanical preparation, selected cleaning chemistry, rinsing or flushing, drying, white-light or ultraviolet inspection, testing, labeling, and sealed packaging. Each job should be tied to a customer specification or an approved service procedure.

Service Process

Control the route from contaminated receipt to protected release.

The exact chemistry and verification depend on the application, but a robust contamination-control scope generally addresses the same six decision points.

Identify the service

Define process media, equipment function, customer specification, cleanliness objective, and hazards.

Review compatibility

Confirm metals, polymers, seals, coatings, lubricants, electronics, and trapped-volume limitations.

Disassemble & prepare

Separate incompatible items and remove gross soil using approved mechanical or manual methods.

Clean, rinse & dry

Apply the selected chemistry, flushing, rinse quality, drying method, and environmental controls.

Inspect & verify

Use visual, UV, swab, fluid-comparison, residue, or other specified acceptance checks.

Protect & release

Reassemble if required, test, label, package, seal, document, and control post-cleaning handling.

Scope the Work

Define the contamination, service media, and required end condition.

A generic “clean for service” request can hide critical differences in chemistry, acceptance, and packaging.

Cleaning method and acceptance criteria must be defined together.

No single method proves every type of contamination has been removed. White light, UV-A, swabs, recovered fluid, gravimetric or chemical residue tests, and functional checks answer different questions and must be matched to the governing requirement.

  • Intended service media, pressure, temperature, flow path, ignition risk, and compatibility requirements
  • Customer procedure, industry specification, cleanliness limit, and inspection or residue-test method
  • Disassembly, repair, calibration, leak test, reassembly, labeling, and certification requirements
  • Rinse quality, drying gas, clean handling, bagging, sealing, shipment, and turnaround needs
